Ripoff

I recieved a call from a woman who said her name was Sharon. She spoke with a very heavy accent saying that I had qualified to recieve a United States Grant in the amount of $12,500 with $100 emergency cash. She said it would take 2 days to receive the package with the legal documents for me to sign.

After that I was to send them to the local address given to me. She then said it would take 3-4 days after that to receive the grant money. I am in need of money and they truly suckered me in.

I gave them my account information to get the 29.99 but sadly I am broke at this time. They are due to get it out tomorrow on 6/17/05. But now I know I just need to call my bank and make sure that I put a block on my account first thing in the morning.

No one will be able to withdraw money from my account unless I personally tell the bank it is okay. They will need to check it over with me first. I hope we can all get a law suit against these people.

This is not right. They also said I would be charged 299.99 and it would come out of the grant money and not my account. How do you stop people like this?
