I am only twenty years old and I'm a college student. I was looking for a way to start building some credit. I was applying for some credit cards but was turned down because of lack of credit history. I received a letter in the mail saying that I was approved and that all I needed to pay was $39/$43 to have it rushed delivered. They made it seem like I was approved for a credit card like a Visa, Master, or Discover card, etc... I sent off the $39 payment and a few weeks later, I received a packet in the mail saying something like "Consumer Credit." I did not want a consumer credit card because that negated my entire purpose of applying for a credit card. Everything in the book they sent me was extremely high. I tried to call the number that was on the sheet of paper and all I got was a busy signal all and every time I called. I would most definitely like my $39 back and in a hurry!
