The car will be stolen two years in September. It was my son's car. Stolen from Rhode Island. Police reports were made. Afterwards, I made several call between Kia and my insurance agency, USAA. I made arrangement with both companies. I thought I was handling everything. I waited for the insurance company to settle the claim. Of course it didn't paid everything. There was a balance of $6300.
I made arrangements with Kia to continue payments. Later when I went to get a loan for a washer I was turned down and found out that Kia had put on my credit report a charged off account of the stolen car. I have seen three lawyer since then none of which are interested in helping me.
I continue to pay Kia's lawyers. Meanwhile I can't even get a $300 loan. It isn't fair that I was the victim and I am getting punished. Kia states that I miss a payment during the time that the insurance was settling. I do not despute that I have to pay for the car; I just want it off my credit report so that I can live my life.
