Stolen ID and they continue to sell my info to collection companies... Thus lowering FICO

I had my ID stolen in along with my Verizon Cell phone.

The person that stole my id was someone that I knew and they had also stolen my cell phone. All of this info was given to the police back in 2002.

I did everything by the book when I reported my stolen ID situation, inform and fill out a police report. Contact banks, credit card companies and Verizon Wireless as well. I also made a report to the FTC in 2002. Short of sending in a pint of blood, I feel that I did everything in my power that was humanly possible.

I made a police report and got all my money back from the bank as well as my credit card companies back in 2002. We are talking about ten thousand dollars ($10,000.00). Verizon Wireless in the amount of $1200.00

Verizon Wireless for some unknown reason keeps selling my Verizon account to several collection agencies, thus lowering my FICO, every January without skipping a beat.

Time and again, I have sent each and every collection agency my police report regarding this whole ordeal. But every January since 2002 they sell my info to another collection agency, it has been seven years and it just continues.

Here I am in looking at my FICO score and once again it has dropped because of Verizon's unethical tactics of selling a stolen ID bill for $1200.00, we are now talking about $1300.00.

I am at my wits end on this, can someone please tell me how to stop this. I am so sick and tired of having to pull up the police report every year and having to send it to various collection agencies. I had to even school one collection agency about buying a bad collection.

It seems as though Verizon has not notified any of these collection agencies that this was part of a stolen ID situation. So one collection agency sells it to another and so on and so forth.

This is the very definition of insanity and never ending as well. Can anyone help me to stop this? I just don't know what to do. I have been paying for a credit monitoring account for the last seven years at $5.00 a month, just to insure that my ID is not being used again by this unscrupulous individual.

At what point do I need to hire an Attorney to go after Verizon Wireless for harassment???
