A very nice and talkative young lady named Quida Amoid knocked on our door on 10-23-04 and said she was a senior in High School and trying to earn points to go on a trip (I think to Cancun).
She said that there were several others in the neighborhood so she put a sticker on our door so we would not be bothered by anyone else.
She was a very good salesperson and did tell us that the school got credit also from the magazines she sold. We assumed, that she went to our local High School, she did not say she did and as we do not have children in school we do not know many of the high school students.
We purchased 2 magazines from her and she asked that we make separate checks for each of them, something to do with her prizes. The magazines were JACK & JILL for our granddaughter & Man of Integrity for myself. To this day the magazines have not appeared. We paid 48.00 for Jack and Jill and 29.95 for Man of Integrity.
We have learned a lesson from this and hope people who use young people like this can be stopped as I don't know that this young lady was aware that we would never receive our purchases.
