Chase Campbell, Electronic Emporium (aka - Silver Star Micro, Inc.; Signature Electronics) purchased a Hewlett Packard ScanJet 7450c from me on Ebay 12-1-04 paying via credit card in the amount of $447.99. Credit card was "fraud" and unfortunately Pay Pal, the payment vehicle company associated with Ebay had "cleared" the transaction in the amount of $447.99.
I shipped the item to Mr. Chase Campbell at the California address. Unfortunately, after the item was shipped I was notified that it was paid for using "fraudulent funds." I attempted to "STOP" the UPS shipment, but it was delivered. I contacted my local police who informed me I would have to contact the Los Angeles police; I did. I filed an ICC fraud report and filed a police report in Los Angeles.
I was informed by the Los Angeles police that the company actually originated out of Las Vegas, Nevada. Approx a week after the initial fraud I was able to connect with Mr. Chase Campbell via telephone. He stated he would send me a FedEx Overnight to pay for the scanner. Yes, he sent me a "company check" drawn on Silver Star Micro Inc, Atlanta, Georgia; of course it bounced. He continues to "avoid" contact and I have not heard anything further from the Los Angeles police, or the IFCC.
