Ctrip has a low price guarantee promise on it's web site (english. Ctrip.com). I trusted it for years. But on Oct. 03, I booked 3 hotel rooms for my friends in Chengdu. On the next day, I found the price at the front desk of the hotel is 30 rmb less than Ctrip offered. So I called Ctrip and try to ask them to refund me the 3 times price difference per their promise. Until Oct. 8, I did not receive any reply from Ctrip. So I called it again in the afternoon. On Oct. 09, I had a reply by phone from Ctrip, saying that Ctrip could not refund me the money due to my not reporting Ctrip in time! Later on, I complained to it's customer service for a few times, but the answers were almost the same. Ctrip does not want refund the money, due to either I did not reporting Ctrip in time or I did not checked out at the higher price Ctrip listed.
