We received a POD recently for on-site storage during a renovation, and it was infested with HUGE cockroaches. Every time I sprayed roach spray in a corner or near a beam, within a few seconds at least a half dozen monsters would come scurrying out or even (brr) flying. I called to get the POD removed and I was ready to yell at someone, but they were very quickly apologetic and even sounded outraged at the presence of bugs. The rep I spoke to truly sounded shocked and shared my emotions about the issue. He also mentioned that all PODs are cleaned and checked before being deployed, so this shouldn't happen (the driver who dropped it off mentioned that it came directly from another customer, so this might be something to mention when booking - get a "fresh" one). True to his offer, they had the POD removed and replaced within about 2 hours! Since I was understandably creeped out, I bug-bombed the new POD 2x in a 12-hour period, each time well exceeding the minimum fumigation time. I then inspected the POD thoroughly and literally could not find a single insect in there, dead OR alive. I would use PODs again, though I'd always ask for one from the warehouse, and I'd still bug-bomb it before using it.
