I turned in my wings to my office manager after working just around two months. I do in someways feel like a failure. But I was no longer able to work in an office where there were reports of inappropriate behavior a.K. A forms of harrassment towards people in the office, and nothing was done after a weeks time. I would explain but I know what I heard from the person who told me about the situation.
This was my leader, how can you take advantage of the oppurtunity when all you are told is that "your doing everything right, it will come, it will come" I am sorry to say that I followed the systems that they had put in place and still could not make the numbers work to make a decent living. You really need to have some money to fall back on. It is commission only. All the people on here bitch about how horrible there job was.
I really liked what I was doing, unfortunately when you cannot respect the people who are to teach you how to become successful the opportunity becomes foggy and some what out of reach. When I went to the other side of the office I was pulled to the side and told that we did not do things the same way as the other team in the office, and that I should not spend time with them. This furthered my frustrations with the organization because I could not get help from my team and then was told that I would not be able to go to others for help... WTF?
I did make it to leader which was an exciting experience I could not help but be happy and think that I had achieved something, it may have been insignificant but I did achieve it by myself and a little help from some people on the other team. This brings me into another small complaint after I was promoted to leader the next day I was given an interviewer to take out for the day, and was told before the day started that they did not plan to hire this girl.
No kidding I could tell that she had no ambition from the first sentence out of her mouth. I asked all the questions necessary to find out that she really was not interested in the interview itself but had nothing better to do that day. When I came back to the office I was told again that I did a great job and not to worry they really were not going to hire her anyway. When I asked why did you say that, I got the response "We did not want to make you nervous" I would rather just take the person out not knowing if they liked her or not and deal with being anxious while I am out there.
I was told that everything was based on merit but my leader tried to pull seniority on me every chance that he got which furthered my aggression towards him as a person. Personally I think that people should try this job out. You will definately learn a whole lot about yourself and business as a whole. Some people do not understand that all business is pushed by sales, IT IS HOW MONEY IS GENERATED. Maybe I could have become successful with Cydcor if there were not Rumors of harrassment, and people from foreign countries working with out a green card or permit being tossed around the office. I wish all the best of luck to the people that I worked with and all of the time that they took out to help me try to succeed only to find that I could no longer survive on a team where I did not trust or like my leader, and had a manager who was disliked by the office as a whole.
If you read all this I thank you for taking time to share my experience. And I am sorry if this makes no sense I am a little out of my mind
