ON 09 JUL I received an EMAIL from Schiel & Denver PUBLISHING Co. That my book—
UCB: The Evolution of The Comprehension
of TRUTH
has been released from the Press. There was another EMAIL. AND NO MORE till date!
But, I made some four calls to the Consulting EDITOR plus an EMAIL; and till this hour, there has been no replies.
And the FIVE (HARD) COPIES they contracted (in written agreement) to send me still remain as of TODAY, a Promise Unfulfilled!
There were other “strategic commitments” as follows:
1. The publisher completely ignored
my repeated Request to augment the
COVER DESIGN with a relevant
correction to theirs before release;
2. The publisher completely avoided
sending the work to me, the author
for a final REVIEW (beyond the
“GALLEY COPY/version” before release
per their written agreement; and
kept me fully ignorant about actual
release date;
3. The publisher, had put higher
priority on their original release
date of 02 april and rushed and
backdated the actual date to 02april
instead of 08 july– a whole three
months. Efficiency or honesty in
productivity?
4. At TWO distinct occasions, the
publisher went directly to my bank
account to claim money without prior
information to me. At one such time,
I EMAILED them that would cause an
overdraft. They need first, invoice
me to enable me deposit some money
in order to avoid OVERDRAFT.
They would even make a withdrawal
from TEXAS and another from London
(for different amounts) though the
last withdrawal “cancelled” the
first.
My initial contract for publication
was 949.00 for which they made a
second withdrawal of 978.48;
And further charged me $357.33 for
printing after Galley corrections.
There was no PRESS RELEASE —promissed
And given the observed evidence of broken promises of some articles/clauses in their Agreement), I seriously suspect all these are geared to obviate:
1. Showing me a copy of the book as
published per article #1 of p. 7;
2. PAYING ME ROYALTIES per Article #1
(p. 2 - 3);
3. SENDING ME ANY REPORTS OF SALES AS
DUE (including royaltyl, accounting)
ETC.).
And these avoidances corruptively infringe on publisher’s agreement that “The Author shall retain all rights to the contents of the Work. S&D acquires no right of ownership to the Work under this agreement.” of clause at bottom of p. 1.
Sensitively, the message (and mission) of this book is so indisputably desperately advancing to science and humanity that neglecting and/or
ignoring it actually ridicules humanity and its civilization. This in particular, has compelled me to email them to cease processing/marketing this work after thirty days per their agreement they should be stopped from processing and distributing this work as is in this questionable circumstance, all over the world. Humanity deserves decent products! And undisputably, education belongs
here! The book emphasizes reverece for life.
