In mid April, we recieved a letter - mailer - stating that the company could help us with a loan modification. Our interest rate is very high - 6.25% and they (Paula Fly) said that she could get it lowered through a government program - HAMP because it is a hardship of rus. My husband is retired and I am ill and cannot hold a job - been out of work for two years, and waiting to have a hearing about social security disability after being denied twice. She knew how hard it was for us and promised she could help. I checked them out, saw some information on the internet, etc., but none of the names matched with who she told me. I even got references from her - the ones I could contact said they helped. We filled out the "contract", met with the notary they sent to our house, everything seemed legit. When a Norma Hernandez from Legal Processing Team contact us, after several "contacts" from different departments called and said they were working on our modification, I completed the request for information she had and cannot reach anyone at all. This is making us both ill - we really need that money. We calcualted that with a reduction in our payment, we would recoup it within 6 months - It would help with food and my medicine. I have skipped my meds to get food for the family when we have the money now - can you help us get this back? I contacted our mortgage company and we. Are waiting to see if they can help
