A man named Benjamin Murry, who spoke very slowly as if trying to cover an accent, called me. He said he was with American Cash Awards, with an association with Publishers Clearing House, and told me I had won 1.6 million dollars, a red Range Rover, 7 years of free GEICO insurance and free gas for 5 years. He told me to write all these numbers down and wanted me to repeat them back to him. He asked me where the closest store was and said I needed to pay $396.00 for shipping and handling, but as long as I kept my receipt it would be refunded to me. He said they would deliver all this stuff today.
While he was talking, I looked up the name of the company on the internet and saw how many people had been scammed. I confronted him with this information, and he got mad, said I had wasted his time, and hung up on me.
