I wanted a credit report went online during the part where it asked me for credit card info to charge. I called and explained what happened they took my information and billed me twice for a credit report of 39.95. I checked my bank and charges were pending. I called back the same day they said they couldn't do anything for 1-2 business days. I waited didn't hear anything back and my card was charged twice where the money was debited. I sent two emails. They said I'd have to deal with the bank to get my money back. My inquiry number was 130823000056. They responded after that that my card was not charged twice but it clearly was. I don't understand why the burden of proof falls on me when I called the first day and they could clearly track by the card that was given how many times I was charged. Now they are telling me I need to provide a bank statement, a copy of my debit card, and a cover letter with my contact information on it. I have never hd to provide all that for any other business that charged my card twice. Every other business could check their transactions and the card transaction number and see that they charged twice. I was pushed to wait then they told me the bank would fix it. Why is it my banks responsibility to fix their problem of charging people twice for their credit reports. This clearly has happened to more people then me. For a credit reporting agency this is poor customer relations and I think thy rip people off because they know people don't want to o through the hassle of providing all these documents for proof for 39.95. I want an inquiry filed why my money was not returned the first day.
