Today, September 4, I received call at 2:27 P.M. From David Peterson claiming that he works for Mega Millions. He told me that I had been selected by numbers assigned to Alabama. He told me that I had won $5 million to be delivered by UPS in an hour and a half of the time he had called. He told me that the call was being monitored after I told him that I did not apply for anything with Mega Millions and that I am not interested in solicitors. He told me that this was not a joke that he did not want to waist my time. I told him to hold the line that I want to get the DA's office on the line because I did not think that he was ligit. He hung up. He then called me back to tell me that this was not a joke. I told him to state his position because I was busy. He told me to get a pen and paper to write down some numbers that he identified as a claim number and a check number. He then asked me was I over 25 and he wanted my address. I told him that if he was calling me about winnings that he should know my address and that I would not provide that to him. He then told me that he did not have my address do to me being identified by a number. I told him to notify UPS that I was coming to thier office to pick up the winnings. Then, the person identifing himself as David Peterson hung up once again stating that he would notify UPS that I would pick up there; but, he never called me back. The number that David Peterson was calling from was 876-836-0783. When I called this number back it gave a busy indication. I went to White Pages to locate ownership of the number it listed Jamaica Tel Company from Carlton JM. The caller i.D. Listed the number as Carlton JM. When I typed in Mega Millions via google, I located a number of complaints regarding the identified company.
