I discovered two charges to my debit card for $40.00 each to I tunes stores. I immediately called the number on my bank statement and was connected to Apple support. I do not own any Apple products. I was told someone had set up an I tunes account and used the debit card to purchase 2 Gift cards, then immediately redeem them. I was also told that they could do nothing, except close the account. When I requested the IP address from where the purchase was made, I was refused due to Apple's Privacy Policy. I questioned if it was supposedly my account, and my credit card, why was there any issue is providing me with the IP address where they apparently were satisfied enough that I was making the purchase to take the money out of my account. I was told I would have to get a suponea to get the IP address, Apple is a accessory after the fact in my opinion as they are protecting the person that stole my credit card.
