Consumer Report

I believe that I was drawn into this scam via Alibris.com a year ago though I just recently noticed the monthly 12.97 charge. I never signed up for an account through the site and it took me more than an hour to figure out how to log into "my" account to cancel it. None of my go-to passwords I use would work to sign me in and the "forgot password" button wasn't sending anything to my email/junk folder. When I finally did get into my account they didn't even have my current debit card info in my profile yet somehow I was still getting monthly charges on it. Now that I cancelled my account I'm wondering how the card info they had on me even got inputted and also whether I should be worried that there is some other account on the site with my current cards information being used. Overall this is one of the most bogus things I've dealt with. Not only does this site charge cards monthly for memberships that are useless, they don't even notify those being charged that they are members. I apparently was a member for a year and the only email I ever received was when I was attempting to retrieve my password.
