Let's just say everything that I will state is the truth, I will try to avoid my own opinions about the company.
To all people job searching in Memphis, you may come acrossed a company called Myraid Marketing. This company puts out several employment ads online through monster.com, careerbuilders, and hotjobs.com. The ads vary but are all for the same job, they state managers need (general statement). This is what will happen if you send a resume to them:
Step 1: Receive a phone call from the admin. To come in for an interview. She says she her hiring manager has had time to review your resume and would like to schedule an interview with you. Ok, there is no real hiring manager, in fact there is only one manager (the owner).
Step 2: So you make it to the first round interview. You sit in the office with probably 3-4 other young people getting interviewed too. When you are called you, you go to the owners/manager's office (Kami Van Wingerden). Don't be surprised if you are only there for about 10 min, which might be long because they interview about 20 people a day. Afterwards the manager will say she it was a pleasure and might offer a second round interview there or might call you back within a few hours to schedule a second round interview. If a second round interview is offered, the manager or admin with explain that it will last for the whole day and you will be shadowing someone, this is called the day of observation (aka Day of O).
Step 3: Second Round interviewps make sure you wear comfortable shoes, because you might walk about 5 miles depending on what leader takes you out. So you arrive, 830ish. You sit and wait and around 9 am they start introducing the other interviewees and yourself to the leaders that will take them/you out.
Well now it begins, your interview. Everything is scripted. Don't be nervous, because I bet the interviewer is more nervous. After the B.S. Questions you being the day. Guess what its door-to-door sales for Bellsouth. You will see about 50 doors and might feel uncomfortable doing so. So this whole time you are suppose to keep questions for lunch, when they will explain the breakdown of the business. If you are lucky and get a good leader, you might see one sale before lunch. OK so now its 1230ish lunch time; better have brought you money, cause you will pay.
The leader begins to breakdown the business, 4 levels etc etc. Then they get to the pay 100% commission till you get to asst. Manager then you get 1000 a week, oh by the way if you do get to asst. Manager you will get that but you wont be able to touch it. So you say ok commission only, no biggie (depending on who you are and how desperate you are for a job). They say average rep makes 110 a dayWhen I was there average rep was making about 30 dollars a day. And I would know cause I put the numbers in.
So you make it through the whole day, well not getting paid, you go back and fill out a questionnaire. After that if the leader feels you will be up for this they will give there ok and take you on their team. You get the third round interview, congrats you are part of the team, get ready for a 70 hr work week making an average of 400 a week if you are very good
Thos are the three steps to getting a job with endless potential.
Here are a quick list of facts about Myriad Marketing:
-It is part of a larger company called Cydcor (www.cydcor.com)
-Kami came from Edgewood Marketing from Chicago, IL (many reports on ROR about Edgewood)
-They say benefits, but actually don't mean it
- Some of the people live together, the others from Chicago, so good luck breaking that team up
- If you go on a road trip (go to another office for a week) you will pay for the gas, hotel and etc.
- You don't have taxes taken out of your check since you fill out a 1099, which means if you do happen to make money you better save some to pay for taxes on the following year
- No matter what they say it is a multi-level marketing, only the top get rich
- If you do quit you cant receive unemployment, because technically you were never employed, you were contracted
- Only 2% make it to Manager
- If you end up building a team (the people you took out on interviews) you will end up being there caretakersince it is hard to build teams, they need 5 people to make it to asst. Manager and trust me that's tough

So there is a little preface on what you can expect from Myriad Marketing Inc.
So You might be asking yourself at this point, why would someone tell me all this stuff. Because I want you to see what Myriad Marketing is doing. I left and I am still owed a few paychecks. Ya this is a typical technique; the hub cydor suggests itWhen I applied I was very excited and didn't do any research.
So let this be a research source for you. I do suggest you to check out the website above and other Cydor articles on complaint. After leaving I have never been happier. PS You don't need to put yourself into greater debt to make a 6 figure income. Recently obtained a REAL JOB making 80,000 a year. Ya some owners say and do make more then that but there is one thing I have more then them INTEGRITYI don't lie and ruin lives for my money.
