We were approached by very aggressive time share sales people at the airport, but we decided to have a showing in exchange for dinner tickets. We were told it was a PV timeshare but was at least 30-45 minutes north of PV. The property was beautiful, all the guys were wearing REMAX badges and they told us that REMAX would buy back our time and that we would have little out of pocket expenses. We were told a lot of things. After I got back from PV I started rehashing everything that went on that day, all the things we were told about working with REMAX and the property improvements that were in progress; about how we did not have to pay for XYZ and that they would market the property so we would have very little out of pocket expenses. Came home and started looking at the WWW and found that a lot of people have lost their $ to Vallarta Gardens, I immediately contacted REMAX in the US to find out they do not have any agreement with VG and that they have a current lawsuit against them for using their name! I've used Google Earth to show this property 10 years ago and today and they are the SAME! They have no intent to build anything there, all these guys move to different time share companies after they have their pockets padded from the past one and they keep scamming people out of their $. I have not sent them one more penny, and I will not. I've cancelled my credit card that I did use to put the down payment on the property and I will not give them one more dime. I've tried to get AMEX to get my money back but because VG is able to show them a signed receipt from me; they have denied my claim. I really want mostly for other people not to get taken, I'm not rich, I really can't afford to lose $7k but I would love to put these people out of business and let them be rotting in a Mexican prison... But sadly I think that's the way things work down there, a very expensive lesson and a mediocre vacation: (
