I too fell victim to one of Tapjoy's scams.in my situation, I applied and was approved for a Discover Card in order to attain 'diamonds' which are currency for the game 'My Singing Monsters' which was developed by the Canadian based company 'Big, Blue Bubble'.

I too was supposed to attain the currency instantly or at least close to it after I did my part. It took a few days to process and after hearing nothing from Tapjoy, nor seeing any diamonds appearing on my game, I contacted Tapjoy. I was asked to send the approval letter from Discover Card and some other information which I immediately sent. A couple of days later I heard from one Hubert Morrison who claimed that my account had already been credited with the 714 diamonds owed. They most certainly did not. I replied with exact information about my email and Game Center account name to be sure they didn't accidentally give them to someone else. I never heard from him again despite a few more emails to him insisting they take care of it.

I returned to the original Tapjoy correspondence and wrote again explaining the poor quality of customer service and I still had no diamonds. A few days later, I was contacted by one Patricia James who made the same false claim as Hubert Morrison. This time however, Ms James insisted I contact Big, Blue Bubble, the game developer who can "manually" apply the diamonds to my account. I replied to her, at this point semi-scathingly that I should not be the one to fix their mistake and that I held up my end if the deal and I insist that they hold up theirs and to stop asking me to handle something they should be handling. After a few days of no response from Ms James, I composed a detailed letter to Big, Blue, Bubble. That was six days ago and I still haven't heard back.

I went back to square one and once again wrote to Tapjoy, still to no avail.

I have since contacted Discover Card who is filing a report and investigating the situation. I'm in the process of filing a report with The Better Business Bureau. Next step, if I do not receive my original 714 diamonds owed, plus something to compensate for this extreme hassle, I will pursue legal action and they will be paying more than just cyber currency.
