A teenager came door to door selling magazine subscriptions to help him with a scholarship - I wanted to help him so I bought an Illustrated Children's Dictionary that would supposedly be donated to a children's hospital. A few months later I received a bill in the mail for 23.95 - it was claimed that "any difference in price from order copt is either an error by the salesperson or due to current price increases beyond our control." There was no contact phone number on the "invoice" so I googled the company only to find the hundreds of complaints against them. It is such a shame that a company would prey on teenagers and caring people trying to help! I contacted my bank who said there was little they could do, but that the company could not do anything with the "past due charge" as they do not have my social security number. Attempted to call the company and got no answer, will be mailing back my "invoice" with a letter admonishing this terrible scam company!
