Robert martin rented me a house posing as the rental agent. Robert made promises to complete work on the house for my scheduled move in which was 6/18. That day arrived and the unit wasn't ready as well as he told me i couldn't move in without a full months rent, which that was never discussed. The amount i was to pay was a prorated amount of $422 for june 18-30th. This caused a conflict with my personal business. Robert told me the unit will be ready on july 1. I paid the balance and i was given the keys on 7/2. The work promised to be done 33 days prior was not done. I had an inspection scheduled for my small business and the work not being completed affected that. I requested a refund from robert since my inspection was scheduled for monday july 8. He offered me another place that was just remodeled. He gave me the address and told me to go see if i liked it. I called robert back within 15minutes to tell him i wanted the place and he told me it was rented. I then ask if i could just get a refund because i was running out of time for my inspection. Robert referred me to the real owner mark roeker. I wrote a letter of all the details and asked for a refund. I went to the store mark owns called marcia's second time around furniture store and met with mark roeker. Mark apparently had me confused with another tenant and stated that they held the place for me since may 12th, which was un true. I met robert on 5/28. I returned the keys to the property to mark roeker personally and he refused to give me a refund.
