I was called by this scam company and they said they were basically a lead company that helped banks find contractors to do work. And mind you I have done this before with another company which found me jobs and paid me every two weeks. They said I needed to do a mandatory background required by the banks I would be working for. I paid for this by check which they said would be the only form to pay by over the phone. They sent me an email saying my background was good and I should be receiving work the following day and I have yet to receive anything. They even called to reassure me my background was good and I would be receiving work. I've tried to called the lady named amber that I dealt with and no answer from her or even an operator which keeps hanging up on me. I've even emailed her several times and still no response back. This is the email as follows that you will receive once you give money or agree to a background check.

Fill out your profile
We work with 16,427 contractors and handymen across the country. It is extremely important that you fill out your profile within 24 HOURS so that the Matching Department can get you ready to go out and work.
1. Go to www.constructiondirect.net and click "Register" link (make sure you have the reference number given to you by the agent you spoke with).
2. Fill in all applicable and required information.
3. Now click on the "Submit" button and you should see you have successfully filled out your profile.
*if for some reason you get a pop up telling you that you missed something then fill or check the field or box you missed so you get a successful submission.
Next...
Background Check
Once you've successfully completed submitting your profile your account will be inactive until your background check is completed. Background checks take 3-5 business days.
As soon as your background check has successfully been completed you will have access to properties in our foreclosure database and you will be able to start being submitted to start receiving work and leads from our matching service database.
