I ordered two BT6010 cordless phone batteries for my V-Tech DECT 6.0 cordless phones from EMTC. They arrived relatively quickly considering they were coming from the USA and i'm in Canada.
I installed the first one to find that every day I had to remove and re-install the battery as the phone kept prompting "check battery".
I installed the second battery which immediately began SMOKING. I unplugged the battery quickly and re-installed the original battery only to find that the displays on my phone would now no longer light up and the sound cuts out. This $5 battery cost me $100 for a new phone system.
I contacted EMTC by email via their website and received no response to my complaint. Based on the other complaints i've seen on this website and others regarding EMTC - i guess i'm not surprised.
Do not buy from these people!!!
