I was originally contacted by a man by the name Peter Rosenberg he stated he was an investigator for the state of NJ dept of fraud and that he had a complaint from a company the i indeed had a loan with and do have a small outstanding balance... He claimed that he was giving me the opportunity to make a settlement offer so that it would not proceed into any criminal complaints that they would file with the county in which I reside... Of course he had information that was accurate but he seemed sincere in trying to make sure we could resolve this issue... Due to my financial problems which led into me having this bill i told him that i would see what i could come up with to avoid further problems... He stated that he could only give me til 5pm or it would go to my countys clerks office... After speaking with family members my parents agreed to put $400 on their credit card to help me... So i called back told him the offer of $400.00 (the full amt was $756) and he accepted that and gave me instructions on how to doccu sign the forms on the internet allowing this transaction to clear away my debt... He stated i would recieve paperwork via postal service within in 10 days for my records that my debt with this company was clear... My parents of whom are on social security cant afford this type of bill but did it so that i would be ok... So after every thing was signed he confirmed it was taken care of... After 2 weeks i recieved an email from a sharon Harmon stating that the transaction never went through and i needed to do it over and doccu sign again... I called her and she directed me to Matt Morgan who stated that the company that i owed this too did not in fact accept my offer and i needed to pay the remaining $356 or once again charges would be filed against me... I told him the Mr. Rosenberg accepted that offer and assured me it was taken care of... He abruptly cut me off calling his former employee an asshole and thats why he is no longer with the company he didnt have the authority to accept my offer... This man Matt Morgan stated he worked for the state of NJ and when i asked to speak with his supervisor he said he is the boss and he answer to our governor and no one else... I began to panic because his professionalism was questionable and things didnt seem right... He began talking to me in a threatening manner and calling me a drug addict and a piece of shit who has to ask their mommy and daddy to pay their bills... Now at this point im very upset and told him i felt he scammed us out of $400 and he told me i was not a credible person and kept stating i was a useless piece of shit... Now my question is... WHO ACTS or TALKS THIS WAY??? If in fact they are legitimate... Now they continue to call me and my parents house demanding this money still and wont stop... I told them i wanted paperwork and more info on there company and he fefuses to give it to me... Please Help!!! The number they contacted me from is 855-509-5700
