I purchased 2 african greys by the name of lin and paco. They were suppose to arrive in south africa on the 19th of june. This 'woman' spun me a story of how she's in cameroon as she is a nurse and because of her work she cannot look after them or give them the attention they need, please read the e-mail sent to me:
-Hi,
Thanks for reading from you. I'm Elizabeth from Johannesburg. I work in
the Net Care Clinic in JHB, but currently in Yaounde, Cameroon for an
international AIDS Project. I traveled along with my male and female
African Grey Parrots, but due to the nature of my work here I can't
really take care of them anymore, so I have decided to give them out
for adoption and I'm only interested in adopting my birds only in SA
where I could always pass by to check on them when I'm back in the
country, or to someone who will promise sending me updates of their
photos. I wish to know if you are knowledgeable about this breed or if
you have owned a bird before? You got kids? Because they are so
playful and affectionate. They are n't for sale, all I'm looking for is
just a good and caring home where they could become the center of
attention.
Attached are their photos
Kind Regards,
Eliza
So I agreed to take the birds. Being a good person I offered to pay for the ticket. Then along came the e-mail from the courier stating they needed more money for a cage. So stupid me I paid it. The best off all the account I paid it into actually belongs to this person and is now closed! The email received was bright and wonderfully layed out!
Now I am sitting without the africans I paid for. So decided to google it and low and behold! I came accross this site!
I don't know what to do! I've lost all my savings and I don't have my birds! Who can help get this women!
