My sister, Arlene Madan, booked a tour with this company and she asked me if I wanted to go with my wife. She told me that there were only 2 spots left on the tour to Costa Rica and I should call ASAP to get the last 2 spots. I called the owner, Marsha and she said that I did get the last 2 spots. I gave her my credit card and her last 2 words to me were " You're in" I then immediately booked the airline tickets to Costa Rica. On Monday February 4th, Marsha called me and said that someone else got the last 2 spots. I told her that I already booked the flight and she said that she thought that I got the last 2 spots, but was wrong. I asked her why did she take my credit card and say 'You're in? She said she was sorry and said that she would put me on a waiting list. Well, I never got a call from her and never went on the trip. Now I am being charge $300 for a cancellation of my tickets.
I feel that it was Marsha's mistake and she should have never told me we were "in." I feel that she should pay the $300 for the cancellation of the tickets. She refuses. I have contacted the Better Business Bur in Florida and they will not do anything.
Can you help me in this matter?
PS I will try to get their address. However, I think it is somewhere near or in Stewart Fla.
