I ordered via yahoo.com a FREE trial of tooth whitener all I had to pay was the postage at £ 3.45p. The product was delivered on the15/16th May. When I received by card statement I found that this company had taken two lots of postage three days apart.
But being trusting I accepted these charges as the product came in two separate packages. Why I do not know as they product would have fitted into one box.
On the 24th May I received a telephone call from this company requesting I sign up for some more of their products, which I duly refused, in fact put the. Phone done on the guy, as he would not take NO for an answer.
My latest statement shows that Hydrawhite have taken a further £70.77p unauthorised from my card account. This dispute my replacing my card with my bank, on receiving a call from their fraud department.
Having spent some hours on the phone my bank has now agreed to refund the money last taken once I have filled their complaints form. I think that at £70.77 for what is effectively four very small tubers of "tooth paste / whitener" all of which would be worth about £10.00p, if that, is a rip off. I have had confirmation from their website at [email protected] that my account has been closed, but I wait to see.
But as a precaution I have close that C/card account.
