I got a call from a sales person saying the 2nd payment was due on the account I had with them, I couldn't remember taking out advertising with them but I was naive in thinking they were right and I had just forgotten. Thinking this I thought I owed them money for the 2nd years advertising so agreed an amount to pay. Under no circumstances would I agreed to this if they had not lied to me in the first place. I was put through to someone else who agreed a password and gave me an account no, they wanted payment straight away but luckily I did not have the money in the correct account for me to pay it over the phone so told them to call back another time. Before they called back I was able to google the company and found quite a few complaints saying it was a scam company and I could find no payments to them in last years accounts so when they called back i told them I wouldn't be paying as they were a scam company and I wanted them to send me details of what they will do doing for my company and proof of last years contract. They said they would, all I got sent was an invoice. I won't be paying and have avoided the calls and emails since. I have received 3 invoices, 1 email (that landed in the junkbox) and 1 letter demanding the money or baliffs will be sent, that came today. Any advice on where I stand or what I can do would be gratefully received.
