On February 20, after completing a survey from Amazon.com, a pop-up appeared saying I was entitled to a "GIFT" as a Thank You for completing the survey. I could choose one of two necklaces, a bracelet or earrings. Although I didn't want or need any of these items, because they were a "GIFT" I submitted by choice of the earings. I received the earrings and set them aside as a future gift for my 10 year old grand daughter. On my next credit card statement was a charge for $5.99 plus $98.00. I had no idea what this was for as I had never used this card.By the time the credit card company had identified the source, they advised me it was to late to return the "GIFT". The phrase "buyer beware" does not apply here as I bought nothing. I was the receipient of a "GIFT". This is the rankest kind of scam as it targets those who can least afford it. Needless to say the "GIFT" was probably worth $10.00 at Big Lots and I'm out $103.99 which means I will have to do without a few meals.
