I hired CGC Builders to do an addition in my house. The main problem has been the lack of time frame to complete the project. This has resulted in very bad communication with the company.
I wrote the first check for $12,000.00 on August 31. The contract was signed on April 12. Even after paying $30,000.00, the demolition did not start until July.in August, despite my specifications, the builder installed new windows that did not match those of the existing structure. Finally, CGC Builders agreed to remove and dispose those windows. I had to buy the right windows myself, which added to the cost of the project. After this, CGC has never worked consistently on my project. Did not install the siding after the windows. I had to buy and install all the selections, allowed by contract, with other subcontractors. When Stuart Colven realized that I was working on the project without his collaboration, he promptly sent the electrician, plumber, painter, and did the drywall.
This is how I was able to move back home in December, after living in a hotel for five months.
Today, June 10, CGC Builders has not installed the siding, and my house has been uncovered and unprotected since August 24. There is some work to be completed inside, as well. CGC has not done any work in my house since December.
I would appreciate your prompt attention. I need to have those walls covered.
