I recieved a phone call at 10;30 am and a male caller with a India accent told me that he recieved my application for a grant from the State of Colorado, and that I qualified to recieve money. I told him that I never applied for a grant and asked how he got my phone number. He replied from my application. I know I never applied for a grant and I told him that I was skeptical. He hung up. Several hours later he called back. I tried to get more info from him but he wanted me to pay $3.87 to recieve the info. He asked for my debit card exporation date and wanted my card number. Meanwhile I looked up US Financial Resources on-line and found that there was a web site listed to take complaints about scams by this company. I told where to go and never call me again. How did he get my phone number? I was applying for jobs on-line and somehow he was able to get my phone number, or I placed an ad on Western Slope Classified Ads about a cleaning business I was starting. Now I am weary about applying for anything on-line, but most jobs nowadays only take applications on-line. Maybe I will cancell my ad on that website. What a waste of my time. Thank God I am not stupid. Beware
