Mercedes doesnt stand behind their product

I have 2003 Mercedes C240. It rusts out and speak oult louldly how poorly it made by mercedes. I contacted Mercedes benz USA and explain the situation, they asked me to get the quote from certified body shop. I did and what i found out is the cost to fix it is more then the value of a car. I told them the other brands and even lower brands support rust issues and fix the rust. I explained them BMW warranty but they dont want to help. They blame Chicago weather for the rust,
All i am asking is: Does Mercedes only last 10 yrs 80 k miles only in Chicago kind of Weather?
If that is so true then do they make customer aware that their product is poor quality then any other lower brand and please buy Hundai becasuse it will perfom better then your costly Mercedes.
I as a customer is forced to either put large sum of money or just keep watching my car dying from rust, and poor mercedes has no solution for this issue. I understand its out of warranty but does it make sense to have a product like mercedes to die after 10 years and 80 k miles?
My urge to all buyers that please comapre other brands and their warranties before put large sum of your hard earned money in Mercedes.
