Was seeking support from Yahoo, and ended calling up this company Global Tech Help @ 800-941-7590.
They reported I had over eleven hundred unauthorized attempts to access my computer, and pulled it up on a note pad file. Charged me a one time fee of 99 dollars for the "remote" tech support. I later found from a second expert opinion that my computer was not infected at all, so I am not sure what they were doing for 5 hours.
They also scammed me into thinking I needed a 6 month service plan for another 100 dollars for a total of 199.99 charged to my credit card.
I called them back for a refund. Got hung up on once, and then after calling them back got back the 100 bucks after cancelling the service plan, but they would not give me back the 99.99 for the "services" they provided. Such a scam.
