This company has you lease a flat bed from them for 150 a week and they make you pay 135 a week to insure it. (liability ins.)
(285 a week just for the trailer)
Then they tell you they will give you 85% of the gross. And a fuel surcharge. They add the fuel surcharge in with your gross and take 15% of it.
They tell you that their loads average somewhere between $1.50 and $2.00 a mile. But after you take it, and deliver it I was told numerous times that they had no return load. Therefore you have to drive home empty.
So now your 1.50 to 2.00 a mile goes to 75cents to 1.00 a mile.
And then comes fall and winter. Good luck trying to get a load out of them. But don't worry because the $285 a week they are charging for the trailer. They just keep charging you. My last week there i took a load for $325 after their 15% i took 276.75 Then i had to pay them $285 for the trailer. I ended up owing them $8.25 because i didn't make enough to cover the trailer rental and insurance.
