SCAM SCAM SCAM
This is a nigerian scam. Please do not fall victim. My mother recieved a letter in the mail from "Costco" stating she won 150,000 US dollars. The letter claimed she would first have to pay 1300.00 in taxes before recieving her winnings. My mother telling me this made me suspicious. First off the number he called from is a Ontario canada number 1.289.892.3517 with a african man named Lloyd Lewis. Its just a single person, he answers the phone "hello" as if it is a personal line, his phone greeting in no stated he represnted "Costco". This fake Lloyd Lewis andmany others scam people out of there money by sending out a letter stating you won a lottery for 150,000 that you never entered to begin with. He sends a check for 3000.00 stating you have to send him 1300.00 to pay for taxes on this fake 150,000 you have won. There is no 150,000, its simple request just to scam people out of there money. The check he sends is real but no money, no lottery, just a way to scam people. This is very common and can be googled -nigerian scam. Please do not fall victim. Luckly i researched this before my mother tried to do anything with the check.
