Recently purchased an HP 2000 notebook for the sole purpose of watching DVD'S (movies) to kill time during my long commute to work and back... HP has integrated a program into the computer called "POWER DVD CYBERLINK... This program forces you to sign up or the movies won't play... The problem is it doesn't function properly unless you're on the internet... The sound is completely off and the picture quality is bad... So, I contacted their "tech support" in India and asked them to remove it from my computer... After spending 4 hours on the phone with numerous techs they all unable to correct the problem... If surfing the internet is all you want to do, then, the HP 2000 is okay for that... But, if watching movies or listening to CD's is something you want in a computer the HP 2000 is a bad choice... Toshiba for the same money is a by far a better choice all around...
