I thought this had been resolved, but I received a telephone call today from somebody claiming to be a collection agency for the Smart Shopper's Savings Club. Unfortunately I did not get the name of the "agency" or the name of the woman who called. They claimed I now owed them over $700 since last November. After speaking to the woman who called, she lowered the amount due to over $300, and then to $127, supposedly payable today, except I told her I did not have the money in the account. She will call me back on June 1. Also, she managed to get my debit card number today. I think that covers everything that happened today. Thank you for your help.
