I received a voicemail in regards to a 3000 loan approval. I contacted the number back and spoke to a thick accent arabic who then informed me that I had been approved for $3000 and the funds where waiting to go into my account, he said all i had to do was prove to the company that i could pay my 12 month installment of 300 dollars a month. He informed me that I would have to load a greendot moneypak with the 300.00 dollars for my first installment, but it would be credited back into my account with the loan. I did exactly that and called Mike Robinson the loan officer back and gave him the greendot moneypak numbers, he said i was all set and the funds would be posted in 30 minutes. Over 2 hours later i checked my account and the funds was not credited so i called Mike back, he told me that the company did not credit my account because the IRS put a hold on the funds totaling $3,300 until i sent in another $524.00 to clear my tax debt. At this point this company already had $ 300.00 of my hard working money and told me i could'nt get a refund unless i paid this first otherwise they would report me to the credit bureau for 3,000 as well because the loan had already been processed under my name! I added a total of $524.00 to another green dot moneypak and called Mike back to give him the numbers and to hold on the phone to make sure this time my funds was tranfered. Mike took the Greendot Moneypak numbers put me on hold and never came back to the phone! I called back over 50 times and received no answer, It then clicked to me that i had been scammed out of my $824.00! I called greendot to deactivate the money paks but it was too late, the representative informed me that the funds was transfered into another customers account and i would have to dispute this issue.
