TD Bank representatives used deception and legal wrangling to bring about not only a loss to me, but also to the itself and the reputation of TD Bank.
TD Bank brags about being the bank of convenience. Convenience comes at a steep price for the consumer!
Bank official called in a small business loan even though the loan officer at the bank said that the loan was current and that there was no problem. This occurred about the same time I was in the hospital undergoing heart operations and a total hip replacement.
TD Bank hired a law firm in Hackensack, Winne Banta, whose main purpose was to bring about financially ruin. Even after I submitted affidavits regarding my financials including sources of funds, which in 2 accounts consisted of Social Security Disability funds, the law firm withheld this information from the courts and secured a lien against my accounts. Social Security funds are not subject to this action. The law firm and TD Bank continue to build a wall of deceit regarding this action.
The actions of the bank and its team of disreputable lawyers succeeded into forcing me into Chapter 7 bankruptcy.By its actions I was unable to liquidate and continue a favorable relationship with the bank.
Upon discharge the trustee, presented with the same information I made available to TD Bank and Winne Banta, release the bank accounts in question immediately stating that funds were exempt from liens, thus proving my assertions against TD Bank and Winne Banta. Unfortunately, I was denied access to my funds for over 15 months, probably to the enjoyment of the bank and the law firm.
After everything was said and done not only did TD Bank ruin my finances, they, by the game they played, also ruined any chance they had at recouping their loan and any good will associated with their reputation.
Any business looking to create a relationship with a bank should look into not only what that bank does for them but also how that bank's actions create a LOSE / LOSE proposition for the relationship.
