Caller had a foreign accent saying he was with Medicare and needed to send us an updated card. He knew our name, address, and phone number.
Wanted to verify that we were who he had reached and asked for our bank account number as verification. Actually he asked for the numbers on the bottom of our check, which is the account number.
Told him we wanted to verify if he was with Medicare and we would call them to verify they wanted this information. He hung up.
