I have just received a "Final Demand" letter from Pushpin Holdings LLC. They are demanding payment in full within 10 days or they will file civil action. I am being harassed over a debt from a company that I owned and went out of business over 8 years ago back in 2005.
That fact alone is in violation of Federal Law regarding debt collection.By federal guidelines, the Statute of Limitations for debt collection is 7 years. Furthermore, I am a Texas resident. Texas State law states that the Statute of Limitation for debt collection is 4 years.
Texas law also states that such businesses must be registered with the state of Texas and they must have a $10,000 Bond with the state of Texas, prior to conducting any business within the state of Texas.
This company is clearly in violation of both Federal Law and multiple Texas State Laws.
