I was told I was buying tech support and would get a rebate of a visa $50. I ordered a virus barrier was to get a rebate. I received an adapter that I did not order. I have no use for an adapter. I was then told I it was part of their Gold Plan. No one mentioned a plan to me. Then I started getting 9.99 a month on my Visa. This was never mentioned. I thought I paid for the tech support for 104.98, period. They made it sound as though by the time I got the rebates I was getting all of this for a great price. Each time I tried to get which product cost what I got a different answer. It was the adapter was 59.99 plus shipping (the one I didn't want) Then I was told to copy the rebate for a different antivirus than the one I supposedly bought, but she corrected that. Then I was told the antivirus was the 104.98 charge and I was never told how much the support was, when this is what I paid for, but instead it is a 9.99 charge each month. So I have an adapter, which when it came in the mail I could not imagine what it was, which ended up costing me 184.98.
Whoopee. I was also told I could not get the rebate until I had been a customer for 90 days. I guess this is where the monthly $9.99 comes in.
AND on top of that it appears to be Apple Support and it is not. This company have scammed a lot of people judging from the reports I found (too late). I canceled the whole deal and am eating the 184.98. Unbelievable what mistakes you can make even when you are not a stupid person. Now I call myself STUPID for not doing more research on this company. They must be having a lot of fun with this clever scheme. Hope it doesn't last forever. And by the way I have received more scam emails than ever before. Now I know why. How can I protect my credit card from further theft???
