I purchased $150 gift card from American Airlines. Usually, it takes 72 hours to activate it. My Citi card was charged on 4/21. However, when I opened the card (on 4/29), it was inactive. I called that American Airlines department (incentive) and spoke with Sandy who said that their security department wasn`t able to verify my info. I said, but the charge has been posted and you got my money already, and I received nothing. She didn`t care. I asked to speak with a manager, and she said she`d take my name and number. What a scam! Have to dispute the charge with the credit card now and will not be flying or buying anything from this company ever!
