Called Verizon wireless about a black dot on the top of my phone. Customer service agent said it was a new phone under warranty send it in. I said it works fine & if there is a charge I will keep it & wait for another phone on my family plan for an upgrade. She assured me it was under warranty. I sent the phone in. No one contacted me and was sent a new phone & come to find out I was billed $399 for phone taxes & fees without my permission. Called 2 supervisors & was told I broke it and had to pay the bill. I told them to send the phone back they said they destroyed it. Put a gripe in Gripevine they had someone call me and harass me I broke the phone & had to pay for it. I told him no one called me to ask if I wanted the phone back or a replacement. I told him it only had a black dot on it. He sends me a picture of the phone with twow cracks coming from the dot. I told him it only had a dot. He told me to contact Fed Ex they may have caused the cracks. I was totally stressed out after not getting any customer satisfaction for a second time. Will put in a complaint to NYS Counsumer affairs Dept in Albany NY.
