I am so sorry to learn that the other guys who have contacted Bill Ray had such horrible experiences. Mine is TERRIBLE and I would NEVER EVER in my whole life recommend this place to anyone, even I feel like sending the few customers I saw there a note saying: DO NOT DO IT!
Well, this has been my WORST experience ever in buying a car. These people lie, push, deceive, I shall try to make a long and frustrating story short.
I arrived in Florida in mid-January, I then had sufficient money to get a car (at least half of it) BUT I did not have a social security number, so the results were I could do nothing in this state. I finally got the address for the social security and made an appointment and it was so easy to get the social security that I was angry I did not go there long before.
I had sent a few questions to car dealers; I got in contact with David Maus (they could not offer me anything but at least they are honest) and the sales person in Bill Ray Nissan kept calling me from the very start. I finally went there, which is difficult as it is miles away from home, and tried a new Nissan, I put a down-payment in mid-February but the deal did not get through due to the lack of social security.in the meantime, I hired a car from Avis which took all my reserved car money.
Finally, I went back to Bill Ray with my social security number, I spent THREE hours there and nothing came out. Two days later I received a call from the sales person promising that they had a deal for me (this was on 9th April), I went there with my brother and they tried to sell me an old car, sticky wheel, dirty and crushed in the roof, the car was not cheap, I did not want it. So I tried a Nissan and loved it but as I could not put 5K down they brought a Ford Focus 2012. This Ford, according to them was 18k but when I had time to see the papers it was 20k, what a...
I paid 1500 deposit and drove it for a week and two days when Bill Ray calls me to say that the VIN number was wrong and the insurance company was not covering my car. I checked the number and of course it was a lie (very much Bill Ray style), the number was fine. They insisted that I should come to the agency as something was not right and logically I was asking why but they never said. My brother and I got there on Sunday 21st April (yesterday) and a very rude finance person asked me to give him the keys (there are not such words as please or thank you in his vocabulary), I handed the keys and they gave my brother and I a lift to REED NISSAN, which is a completely different place from Bill Ray.
I must say I really congratulate the people at BILL RAY as they made me a favour to break the contract, I got rid of them and found a wonderful sales person at REED NISSAN and am at the moment a happy person just to think I shall never have to deal with BILL RAY again. THANK YOU.
