We have been a shell gas card holder since 1984 with perfect pay history. We (my wife & I-44yrs) applied for shells nationally advertised 5cent per gallon discount, over the internet. They said on the web app. When completed that someone would contact us in 72hrs. They did not, so my wife called, so we could get it activated on our card for our trip. Someone informed her on the phone that we had been denied for credit, confused she asked how that was possible since we have been customer since 1984, response was our credit check was denied for New card. She told them we never gave permissaion to run a"credit check" and we had not applied for anew card. Person on phone could not speak english very well I am so discusted with all these corpate scams!
