When I use my credit card at the pum

When I use my credit card at all the pump, from shell on the window screen say, see attendance?
Nothing wrong with my credit card, then I came in size to ask the cashier, she said the store set it up that way to protect the customer,
I think that's not convenience for every customer to use there credit card, at the pump.
