I (foolishly, obviously) responded to a free watch offer and (being an idiot) gave them my credit card information to cover 4.99 shipping. A few hours later, I realized what an idiot I was. When I checked out the company I found out this was their MO: free offer. You respond and pay for shipping. Then they charge you $100 for the watch and future watches for $50 every month, unless you cancel and return the watch within 14 days. Having thus been warned by fellow consumers to move quickly, I immediately contacted the company to cancel on the same day I opened the account. They still insisted that I had not responded within 14 days (an already ridiculously short time) even in an e-mail they sent to me only 6 days after my response to their offer. The exchange of e-mails is still going on and may get resolved, but do I ever wish I had never gotten mixed up with this crew.
