This morning I got an E-Mail notification stating my credit card had been charged $14.95 from PRIVPRO. After searching on Google I found out it is associated with a Spokeo transaction.
I signed up for Spokeo and was explained I could cancel the service at any time.
I used it for a day and canceled and got an E-Mail confirmation of cancellation.

Like I said today I saw a charge, called Spokeo and they refunded it. I asked how this happened and the rep couldn't provide specifics.
I asked to speak to a supervisor and he said he would have one get in touch with me.

When I talked to the supervisor she explained that it is an advertisement/promotion for an Identity Protection service that is run on the Spokeo.com website that I apparently agreed to. They manage the accounts and payments just not the service. I never received an E-Mail from Spokeo or this Identity Protection website.

I asked them how this service gets my information because the only clear way is that when I pay Spokeo, they turn around and give my information to this Identity Protection program, as they stated I'm not paying Spokeo but this PRIVPRO company.

I think it is a horrible practice that I give company A my credit card for a service, and they give it to company B and never tell me I'm going to be charged.

The call ended as she was just recycling her responses and empty apologies.

Stay away from Spokeo, you just don't get that much information for it to be worth it.
