I have worked for the City of Tucson for 10 years every week, no benefits, no vacation, and now I have been told that I have been listed as 'temp' all this time and if I'm layed off or fired I am not eligible for unemployment because as far as the City of Tucson is concerned I'm on paper as a "temp". I also worked a full time position for them for 5 years. My questions are... Is this legal? How long can I be called a temp? It's been 10 years no vacation. And how can I make them change this or make my self eligible for unemployment if needed? Thanks for your time.
